About Melissa
I earned my master's part-time taking day classes for 3 years, while simultaneously working evenings as a copy editor/writer at the Bangor Daily News. By 2004, I was teaching adult students at Bangor, ME-area colleges such courses as college writing, persuasive writing, research and literature, and media ethics: Students learned to write what they wanted to write, when they wanted to write it! One student even got published!

As a published writer, I'll share examples from 20+ years in journalism, book writing and publishing, in this fun and judgment-free class! You're never too old or inexperienced to learn how to say what you want to say, when you want to say it, and achieve your goals: get a promotion -- buy that new car! We'll begin by writing brief essays. Those short stories, about what you already know, will give voice to your goals and ambitions! While reading your piece aloud, you will power your prose toward action! Be the author of such subjects as your hometown highlights, a favorite vacation venue, or even a memorable meal. Then we'll get into structure, which will help you balance your message, so that it eases your words into your reader's eyes and ears! You'll never know how good you can be until you dive in, and become the hero of your own story! PS: If you think you've heard it all before, you've never taken my course, "Write Now!" You have nothing to lose and so much to gain, by taking your first lesson on me! Sign up today!

Melissa MacCrae is an excellent writer and editor, on a professional level, and would be an asset to anyone wishing to improve their writing. She is an accomplished author with well over 2,000 copies sold and was an award-winning writer with The Bangor Daily News. You would be hard-pressed to find a tutor with more accomplishments than an adjunct English Professor from The University of Maine to help you in your quest to master writing than Melissa.
I highly recommend Melissa as a teacher for superproof due to her expertise and experience as a published author. Her work with journalism also informs her abilities. Melissa is a caring and interested in life, enthusiastic about the opportunities she promotes actively. She is a definite plus in any atmosphere she becomes a part of in her work.
