- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Music at GCSE to Advanced level and Guitar instrumental tuition. I have also spent two years in Barcelona teaching English and I can provide essay and assignment support for Sociology, History, Psychology and other subjects including Media.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a 1st class honours degree in Music, PGCE for secondary and further education and a TEFL qualification for teaching English abroad and in the UK.
- How much do you charge?
I normally charge £20 per hour for sessions but I will consider alternative prices depending on the depth of work required, location and quantity of sessions needed.The cost for Advanced level work is a little higher at £23 per hour but this is also subject to aformentioned conditions. The first consultation which is usually done via email with relevant documents/information attached is free or depending on the quantity of information involved there may be a small fee.
- Where do you teach?
I teach from my home in Birmingham but I am willing to travel to surrounding areas of the West Midlands if viable, such as Walsall, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Smethwick etc.
- When are you available?
I am available Monday to Saturday evenings and some daytimes depending my schedule that week which could include teaching at college.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach normally GCSE students age 14-16 and 16-19 year olds doing A' levels National Diplomas and other similar level qualifications like NVQ, GNVQ. I am also available for Higher Education consultation for certain academic subjects including sociology and most theoretical fields.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare students for GCSE, A' level, First Diploma, National Diploma and some for their first Degrees
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
Documents may be sent via email and corrections, suggested materials and advice will be returned at agreed times.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
If you are overwhelmed with course work and panicking about exams then send me an email with a brief outline of your biggest worries and I'll try my very best to make things a little easier.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I taught full-time in an FE college for over 3 years and I have also taught in many different secondary schools in the West Midlands. I have just recently returned from teaching music and English in Barcelona to a variety of clients: from children and teenagers to senior company executives. I have also tutored and provided support to university students struggling to complete written and presentation assignements for their respective courses including sociology and even nursing.

- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained at UCE (Now Birmingham City University) under the General Teaching Council for my PGCE.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I am currently helping students complete portfolios and other assignments for their National Diploma in Music and also for their performance and instrumental assessments. I am also assisting a first year sociology student with her Spring term assignments.
