About Teresa
I studied Music at Royal Holloway, and am a first-study pianist. I currently work at one of the biggest music education charities, which has hugely broadened my view on everything that should happen around a music education, beyond exams. Before working here, I taught piano to a range of ages, and did a lot of accompaniment work, for choirs, soloists, and ballet.
Now I would like to take on a couple of students as I have a lot of passion and knowledge to share.

I teach piano with the hope to foster curiosity, musical understanding, and personal expression alongside technical development.
I work with students of all ages and levels, whether they are learning for enjoyment, working towards exams, are returners, or just want to play for fun. My lessons balance structure and clear goals with flexibility and student-led exploration, adapting to each individual student's interests, pace, and musical aims.
Listening to music is important when developing a musical identity and so this will play a part in my lessons. Aural skills, posture, coordination, reading music, creativity, improvisation, and playing by ear, helping students become rounded and confident musicians. I value a broad musical landscape and enjoy introducing students to a wide range of styles and influences beyond the traditional classical canon.
Above all, I aim to create a supportive, psychologically safe, and engaging environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and developing confidence at the piano. I want to help each student build a personal, creative, meaningful, musical identity.
