About Nikiya
I have a long history of teacher neglect in education and so have learnt to be self-sufficient in my studies. I have managed to cause dramatic changes in my own grades such as a grade 4 to an 8 in GCSE maths or a C to A* in A level chemistry. It is more than possible to pull grades up with determination and I believe every student deserves to know they put the work in and got exactly what they deserved. I also have a history of teaching others. I created a mentoring programme for year 13’s to tutor year 12’s and helped to build both relationships across year groups but also support the year 12s academically, and lead study groups with peers to be sure their grades shifted as much as my own did.

My lessons are tailored to the individual. Most lessons will be interactive with specification-specific slides, an active recall section where we use a technique I found to help me, called blurting; finally, application of knowledge using past paper questions. I hope by using these methods you can not only be helped out during lessons but also gain techniques to help your independent study. This, again, will be modified to suit the students' needs.
