About Hyunjoo
A native Korean speaker, now a PhD student (UAL) in London. I study cultural criticism and practice photography as a visual artist. Since I was fifteen, I've lived for 11 years as an international student, so I'm very confident in introducing my own cultural and linguistic background to whoever is interested. I would love to help you out and show you how learning a language could be like meeting a new good friend :)

- Flexibility is my strength! The levels and contents of my lessons are largely customizable depending on what you're looking for (e.g. prep for TOPIK, business-level conversation lessons, edits on Korean writing, casual & fun culture lessons)
- My lessons are usually based on themes that my students are interested in talking about. I bring in articles, YouTube clips, and scenes from TV series that are most relevant to the students' interests to boost their enthusiasm and natural acquisition of the language
- The length of a lesson would therefore vary, but I usually keep it between 45 to 90 minutes per session
- I have experience teaching students from various backgrounds and nationalities, mainly in New York City and Tokyo. And now London is my new classroom!
