About Fahmida
My name is Fahmida and I have been teaching for over 8 years in primary schools. I have experience in working with all age groups from reception to year 6 and am keen to teach and fill in gaps and provide and boost confidence in students in all areas of maths and English. I specialise in preparing students for 7 plus and 11 plus. I have experience in these areas and worked with children to send them to top grammar and private schools.

My tutoring style is to get a baseline of where the student is with their learning and understanding. I then teach the key concepts and use applying skills. I first try to find out what students' needs are and then work on what the best method is. Feedback is crucial for me and at the end of every lesson to see what they achieved and what we can work on. I believe each area needs to be thoroughly worked on and concepts understood well by students before rushing into different topics.
