About Mayara
When I discovered my love for English amidst my GCSEs, it opened the door to a world I had never been to before. Studying English has enabled me to view the world in a different perspective - whether it is interpretation or analysis, I knew that this is something I want to share with others around me, which is why I decided to take both Language & Linguistics + Literature (alongside French) at A-Level. I have previously worked with children/adolescents of a wide range of ages through voluntary work, thus allowing me to understand how communication works in order to ensure progress - something I aim to apply to lessons. I can be as flexible as possible with topics, considering different aspects of the course in order to provide full comprehension. I hope to share my knowledge with each pupil through my experience. You tell me what you need help with, and my job will be to help you be confident in that area!

Each lesson is tailored to the student. Factors including age, current working grade, and target grade will be considered in order to provide the best support, and encourage progress. Lessons aim to provide preparation for a higher level of English Studies. Having completed my GCSEs at a high level, I am able to assess and ensure constructive feedback for the student through text analysis, breakdown, and understanding. Lessons include a mixture of this, with breaks for communication and reflection. I am able to share insight into exam techniques and revision methods so that all work completed can be applied to ensure success.
