About James
I come from 4 generations of teachers, so education is in my veins! Having spent 25 years living and working outside the UK, including 12 years as Head of School, I have now found my way back to the most important place in my world: the classroom. I do not want to spend my time talking and listening to accountants and lawyers; I want to spend them listening to you! You will find me a highly knowledgeable, diligent, friendly and creative teacher with deep patience and an indomitable sense of humour who will always get the best that you have to give.

With 34 years’ experience teaching in 7 different countries, I live to learn! We learn through doing, so my student is always the centre of my lesson, always the star of my film. My purpose is to steer, to guide and to support, so the voice most frequently heard in my class will be yours, not mine. My ability to help achieve outstanding academic results is guaranteed, but this will not be achieved by treating you as a hard drive to which I upload data!
