About Jourdan-Leah
I am a graduate with a degree from UCL in French and Spanish. I have given private lessons remotely in Bordeaux, France teaching English to French students and adults. I have also worked as a teaching assistant in English classes in the North of France. Both have provided me with an innovative teaching style and confidence in my methods. I am a proficient Spanish speaker also offering lessons to increase targeted aptitude in this area.

My goal is to encompass the grammar and vocabulary of the desired standard to challenge the student whilst providing fun yet effective ways of retaining this information. It is important to maintain an active level of revision inside and outside the 'classroom' as it is all to easy to forget the progress made in learning languages if we are not consistently challenging ourselves. For this reason, periodic homework and progress reports (if desired) will comprise the assessment criteria of this class. I like to use engaging methods such as games to learn vocabulary and I aim to build confidence through regular oral practice to master intonation and also build the knowledge to speak intuitively. Whether you are a beginner and are not familiarised with grammar or someone who wants tutoring purely to maintain your language level, my methods are applicable to all.
