About Vyaksha
I am a recent graduate from the university of the Witwatersrand who majored in German and psychology during my undergrad career. I completed an honors degree in German. I have a passion for languages and enjoy literature of all genres, types and time periods. During my Honors degree, i worked as a tutor for a class of students studying their first and second year of German at the University of the Witwatersrand. I have also completed two years of undergraduate English courses along with a half year English course during my Honors degree. in addition to this, i would often hold private tutorial classes for students on a one-on-one basis. i thoroughly enjoyed conducting lessons and i pride myself on building a solid, trusting relationship with students. I am confident, self-assured and always eager to improve myself and the lives of others. For this reason, i believe i would be an excellent tutor. What i aim to achieve from being a tutor would be to improve the lives of students and remove the barriers which prevent them from furthering their knowledge and education whilst still doing what i enjoy most; teaching.

I believe that by creating a solid foundation in both your relationship with a student and the work which is being taught, the student's achievements will be limitless. I have tutored a large first year university class of students and a small second year class of students at the University of the Witwatersrand. Upon request of the students, i also provided private classes to small groups or on a one-on-one basis. Furthermore, i have also provided private English lessons to a grade 7 student that focused on grammar, reading, comprehension and vocabulary. The main resource I use is worksheets and textbooks. I find worksheets and written activities to be especially helpful during presentation and examination preparation. A secondary resource i often make use of are PowerPoint slides.
