About Maisie
My name is Maisie, I'm 24 years old and graduated from University of Sheffield with a Languages degree in 2020. I currently work for a charity and am looking to tutor students in French to develop their languages skills and maintain mine!
I am passionate about the power of languages and how we can connect with one another through them, not only through conversation but through understanding another culture. My experience learning French at university has developed my confidence in all aspects of life, and I would love to be able to give this to students starting off in their languages journey.

- I use a variety of teaching techniques with my students, such as conversation classes, grammar classes and reading and listening support sessions. I also have worksheets, presentations and more practical tasks (e.g. podcast and video making) to make the lessons as fun as possible!
- We will start with an introductory meeting to find out their preferred method of learning. This will then inform the schedule of our lessons - I offer sessions which are either 2 x 30 minutes per week on different days or 1 hour per week, dependent on how the student likes to learn.
- I worked as an English Language Assistant for a year in France and have since tutored French to A-Level students in the UK.
- I am confident to deliver tutoring to:
- Students wishing to learn English - level A1-C2, Ages 5+
- Students wishing to learn French - level a1-c1, Ages 5-18 (GCSE and A-LEVEL)
