About Abbie
I'm a Modern Languages and Culture Graduate from Durham University. I've just finished my degree in German and Spanish, and am keen to help other students reach their full potential with their language-learning.

I have been teaching English and German to students aged between 9-17 for two years now. I take quite a conversational approach to language-learning, as I think learning to talk more naturally and spontaneously in a language is something a lot of students find difficult. For students that want to focus more on exam-specific skills, I typically divide a one-hour lesson into three parts: grammar, speaking and reading/listening.
I'm very flexible as a tutor and always ask my students if they have anything they'd like to focus on in our next lesson – my lessons are completely student-orientated, and I plan differently for all of my students.
