About Louis

Finished my Latin A level this year Have got an A* at GCSE and an A at AS level. Predicted an A* at A level but gotta wait and see!!

About the lesson

Vocab is key in all languages but especially Latin. Without vocab you can have the best translation skills but you will still not get the top marks. After your vocab is sound (lucky for GCSE there are vocab lists) we can concentrate on grammar and then move on from there. Generally I prefer to focus on the fundamentals of Latin before moving on to translations as the translations will become easier. Also test test test, I believe tests are the best ways of getting the information into long term memory

My New Year’s resolution this year was to start running more so I hired Louis. Louis is fantastic at keeping our sessions interesting and at the right level whilst really pushing his clients to make progress. I’m delighted with how far I’ve been able to come in a relatively short period of time and I now not only really enjoy running but am also able to run significantly further distances than I used to. Massive credit to Louis, can’t recommend him highly enough
