About Laura
With over a decade in the coffee industry, I bring diverse experience from working in some of the busiest cafes in London and Vancouver, Canada. Mentored by two coffee champions, I’ve also served as a trainer for multiple UK roasteries, working closely with VIP clients to refine their coffee programs. Beyond my roles in cafes and training, I’m deeply involved in the coffee community, regularly volunteering as a stage assistant at global events like the the World Barista Championships. I’m passionate about sharing my expertise with students at all levels, helping them gain confidence and skills in a supportive, hands-on environment tailored to their goals

My approach to tutoring focuses on making coffee education both practical and engaging. I believe that hands-on learning is essential, so I structure each lesson around interactive, real-world scenarios that baristas encounter daily. Typically, lessons run for 2 and a half hours, allowing time for in-depth practice with feedback. As a coffee professional with over 10 years of experience—including two years as a trainer and competition placements —I bring industry insights to every session.
I tailor my lessons for all skill levels, whether beginners looking to understand the basics, intermediate baristas refining their technique, or advanced professionals wanting to understand extraction theory and the science of coffee extraction. I also welcome students of various ages who have a passion for coffee and are ready to learn!
