About Clara
I was born in France, where I spent the first 18 years of my life. However, I knew pretty young that I wanted to move to the UK, and the most important thing therefore became to learn English. Lessons in schools weren’t enough and my family could not afford a private tutor, so I had to teach myself. This means that I know what works, and what does not, but it also means that I know how difficult and discouraging learning a new language can be. I wish to help students like me, who might want to learn but do not know where to start, or who are struggling with the material offered to them in school.

My approach to learning is one that focuses on the student. We will go at your own pace, making sure that you understand one notion before moving on to the next. I believe that learning a language and bettering your fluency is only possible if you are having fun at the same time. Therefore, I like to incorporate references to pop culture within my lessons. Besides, I am a strong believer in the importance of movies, TV shows and books to learn.
