During my time at college I was part of a peer mentoring scheme. I helped two students who were struggling in my a level English class and showed them my strategy on how to write answers that examiners would love. Both students ended up achieving a full grade above what they were targeted, which I'm sure was in part due to the overall teaching and their own hard work, but both said they found the mentoring experience and the practical tips I gave them very useful.
