I have an important background in classical music that I obtained at the conservatory. I apply the same academic way for teaching, combined to a more "fun" style. I believe a lesson should be both serious and entertaining. This is why I am open to any suggestions concerning the pieces of music the student wishes to play.
Besides piano practice, theory and solfège should be an important part of teaching. I encourage students to practise daily at home, and to do exercises (notes, rhythm readings) in order to improve their skills, and so every piano lesson becomes beneficial.
I am an exchange student from France and I am doing my master in law at the University of Edinburgh. I would like to earn some extra pocket money by teaching piano lessons to beginners.
I started playing the piano at the age of 7 and I graduated at the Conservatory in France in 2015 with a really good grade. I'm classically trained but I am also interested in pop, rock and jazz. I have learnt both piano and theory, and have also written my own compositions.
I have been teaching piano lessons for 2 years, to beginners and intermediates, children and adults in France.
