About David
I recently graduated with a PhD in Writing at the University of Liverpool, during which I completed my Grade 4, 5, and 6 piano exams with LCME, and I am currently pursuing my Grade 7. I have always had a love for teaching, for helping students to strive. Playing (and subsequently teaching) piano has been one of my passions for the longest time.

I teach by structuring my lessons around students' needs and goals. Primarily, I will start with the basics and give students the skills to read and play music, using these fundamentals to learn whatever songs they want. I am happy to work through the grades with students, as I think this is an excellent approach to learning music.
Lessons will be 45 minutes approx. with some lessons going over, but this is also negotiable, depending on the student.
I have an LCME Grade 6 in piano and have taught English at a university level, and I am an Associate Fellow of the HEA (AFHEA), an important qualification for teaching at a university level.
