About Shan
I’m a Lead Data Scientist with 12+ years of experience working across data, analytics and machine learning, with a First Class degree in Mathematics. I’ve built forecasting, pricing, experimentation and decision-support systems used in real businesses, and I’ve also mentored junior data scientists. I enjoy teaching because I’m good at breaking complicated ideas into practical steps and explaining the reasoning behind them. My aim is to help students become confident solving problems independently, whether they’re learning data science, improving Python or SQL, working on a project, or preparing for interviews.

I can help with Python, SQL, statistics, data analysis, machine learning and data science interview preparation, from beginner concepts through to real-world commercial problems. I focus on understanding why an approach works, not just memorising code. We can work through your own project, build skills from scratch, debug problems together, or practise the kinds of technical and analytical questions used in industry. I’ll adapt the pace and depth to your current level and goals.
