About Maia
I am an experienced Computer Programming tutor with 8 years of teaching experience working with High School and College students to improve their coding knowledge and academic performance. I have taught more than 300 students and helped them understand programming concepts clearly while building confidence in problem-solving. My teaching philosophy is based on simplicity, patience, and practical learning where students learn by doing rather than only reading theory. I teach Java, C, SQL, Data Structures, and Algorithms and focus on making each topic easy to understand through real examples and practice. I create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn. Many of my students have achieved better grades, completed complex assignments, and improved their coding abilities under my guidance. I also help students prepare for exams and job opportunities by working on interview questions, coding challenges, and small projects. My aim is to help students succeed in academics and become confident programmers.

My teaching style in computer programming is practical, engaging, and focused on deep understanding through continuous practice. I teach students from school and university levels by explaining concepts using real-world examples and simple case studies so they can easily relate programming ideas to everyday situations. I specialise in Java and include important related subjects such as Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, Database Systems, SQL, and basic Web Development concepts along with C programming to build a strong base in coding. I promote collaboration in my classes where students actively participate, ask questions, and solve problems together, which improves their learning experience. I explain every topic step by step and use live coding sessions to make concepts more clear and easy to follow. I teach with empathy by understanding the difficulties students face and supporting them patiently while adapting my methods to suit their needs. I also guide students in exam preparation, assignments, and job readiness by providing practice problems, coding exercises, and real project experience to build confidence and skills.
