About Abigail
Hey, you can call me Abi!
I am a young dancer with a passion for Hip Hop! When I was just thirteen years old, I joined a dance studio called Kingdom Dancers and immediately loved my new hobby. I worked hard, was examined and took part in studio shows. Little did I know that today I would be coaching the Hip Hop division of that same studio!
I love choreographing for my classes and coaching younger dancers.
As a dancer I am part of another studio, Out of Africa, where I dance with two groups.
Recently, I began taking private lessons in Breakdancing, and I hope to begin competing soon!
It would be an honour to assist you in your own dance journey.

Whether you have some dance background or not, I would love to show you how to express yourself through Hip Hop!
There are many different styles within this dance genre, such as Breakdancing, Locking, Popping, Waacking and Vogueing.
If you are completely new to dance, we'll start with a good Old-School vibe, learning about rhythms and world-famous party steps.
More advanced students will delve into the various styles and learn short pieces of choreography to perform.
A lesson will always include a thorough warm-up and all my attention focused on you as a dancer. I love to inspire you by giving a ton of positive feedback as well as points for improvement. Lessons should always end on a cheerful note! I will always be committed to fully answering any questions you have - and if I don't know the answer I'll make sure I find out for you!
If you have high goals for yourself, I am also qualified to teach the Hip Hop syllabus with Theatre Dance Association for Grades 1-3, as well as Performance Medals. I will teach you the work and arrange for an examination if you wish.
