About Mike
My name's Mike Kneafsey. I'm UK based CELTA qualified online English tutor. I like talking about films, sport, music, culture, art, history and society.
After graduating in Sociology I trained and worked as a newspaper journalist in the early 1990s before working in education. I've worked as a musician and guitar tutor since 2005. I've taught ESOL online for 3 years.
I've travelled extensively in Europe but also in New Zealand, California and the Himalayas.
I like writing, reading lots of books and playing music.

If you want to practice your conversational skills in English with some professional feedback, we can do that.
I do 30 minute lessons and 4-week long packages with each of those lessons lasting an hour. The first trial lesson is always free.
I have taught many lesson on exam practice for IELTs, YDB Turkey, and Cambridge English. We can also learn an intensive but fun course covering grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation and written English.
We can do this at a beginners level, intermediate or advanced.
It's important for you to gain confidence and enjoy learning English.
