About Yasmine
I'm Yasmine, a qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Education (ENS) and three years of classroom experience. French has been one of my native languages since childhood, alongside Arabic, and I also teach English professionally, so I understand how English speakers learn French and where they tend to get stuck.
I currently teach French to secondary-level students preparing for national exams, and I design all my own lesson materials, from slide decks to study sheets and recap documents. My students appreciate that lessons are organised, encouraging and never boring. My goal is simple: to help you feel confident and capable in French, and to enjoy the process.

Every lesson is built around you, your goals, and your level. Before we start, I run a short diagnostic chat to find out exactly where you are, what's holding you back, and what you want to achieve, whether that's a top grade at GCSE or A-Level, feeling confident on holiday in France, or finally understanding French grammar.
Each lesson follows a clear structure: a warm-up, a focused grammar or vocabulary point with plenty of examples, guided practice, reading or dialogue work, and speaking practice so you actually use what you've learnt. We finish with a quick recap so you leave knowing exactly what you've achieved.
What makes my lessons different is what happens afterwards. After each class you receive a personalised study sheet and recap summarising the key grammar, vocabulary and phrases we covered, plus homework matched to your level. Parents always know what their child is working on, and students always have something clear to revise from.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I focus on the skills examiners reward: accurate tenses (passé composé, imparfait, futur), giving and justifying opinions, structured writing, reading strategies, and speaking exam preparation. I follow a step-by-step programme that builds strong foundations first, then works steadily towards exam day.
For adults and beginners, lessons are relaxed and practical, with lots of real-life conversation, useful expressions, and cultural insight into the French-speaking world.
Lessons take place online via webcam, with interactive slides and materials shared on screen.
