About Jamie
I've been playing guitar since I was five years old and have been performing in bands since I was twelve, giving me years of both playing and live performance experience. Throughout that time, I dedicated myself to improving by practising every day, often for at least an hour, and developed my own approach to learning that helped me make consistent progress.
My passion for guitar is what inspired me to start teaching. I know that everyone learns differently, so I focus on finding the methods that work best for each student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to make lessons enjoyable, encouraging, and easy to follow, helping students build confidence while developing real musical skills.
Seeing someone master a chord they struggled with, play a favourite song, or reach a personal goal is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to improve your existing skills, I'll provide patient guidance and support every step of the way.

Learning guitar should be enjoyable, rewarding, and tailored to your goals. Whether you want to play your favourite songs, build solid technique, or understand the theory behind the music, I'll adapt each lesson to suit your pace and interests.
With 14 years of playing experience across a range of styles, I focus on developing strong fundamentals while keeping lessons practical and engaging. Rather than relying on repetitive exercises alone, I teach through real songs, riffs, and musical examples so you can apply new techniques straight away. We'll cover areas such as chords, rhythm, strumming, lead guitar, fingerstyle, scales, improvisation, and music theory where appropriate.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, giving plenty of time to learn new material, review progress, and answer any questions. After each lesson, you'll have clear practice goals to help you continue improving between sessions.
My lessons are ideal for complete beginners as well as intermediate players of all ages. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time, returning after a break, or looking to take your playing to the next level, I'll provide patient, supportive guidance in a relaxed learning environment where you can build confidence and enjoy the process.
