About Arthur
I’m a guitarist with over 15 years of playing experience and a genuine passion for music. Outside of teaching I work as an engineer, but guitar has always been the way I switch off and express myself. Over the years I’ve played live with a variety of bands and still love any opportunity to jam and collaborate with other musicians.
My playing style leans towards lead guitar, with influences ranging from The Beatles and Black Sabbath to Radiohead and Nirvana. Because my tastes are broad, I’m comfortable helping students explore different styles — whether that’s rock, alternative, classic riffs, solos, songwriting, or simply learning the songs they love.
I also play piano, which was actually my first instrument, so I understand what it’s like to start from the beginning and build confidence step by step.
My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and tailored to what you want to get out of playing. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time, looking to improve your technique, learn specific songs, develop improvisation skills, or just become a more confident player, lessons are designed around your goals and pace.

I can recommend Arthur as a guitar tutor without hesitation. He has been helping me to master the guitar for the past few months and I have been making decent progress considering I am an OAP, so not quite as finger flexible as a teenager. Arthur is very friendly, punctual and patient and tuition is fun, relaxed and stressfree.
