About Arlen
I began drum lessons at the age of 8 and was attempting play at earlier age using my families kitchen pots, pans and wooden spoons!
I began my drumming career playing drum kit and percussion in Concert bands, Jazz bands and contemporary Rock/Pop bands with friends, in and outside of Primary and secondary school. I also began teaching drums whilst still at secondary school.
My professional experience now includes touring and recording with numerous bands of varying genres around the UK, London, Spain & Argentina.
I have achieved grade 8 in Rockschool drums, Level 3 Extended Diploma in Drum Performance at ACM Guildford & have completed a Hons degree in Music & Sound Design at Ravensbourne University, Greenwich.
I am currently playing in Rock band 'Lion Machine 23' and have numerous London shows this year and a stadium show in Argentina in September.

I teach people of all ages & skills with a fun, friendly & realistic approach. I'm here to give guidance & to nurture & develop your skills as a drummer and musician.
In my tutoring sessions I'll teach you to;
- Drum to your favourite songs
- Play any style and genre, e.g Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk
- Use & develope your musical ear to interpret & improvise around the kit
- Read drum notation (I can guide you through drum grades up to grade 8 if desired)
Each lesson is personally tailored to you, enabling you to reach YOUR desired goals on the kit!
Lesson lengths vary from 40 minutes to 2-3 hrs depending on your preference - trial a free 30 minute lesson!
I teach from home using a Roland TD-17 electric drum kit or can travel to you if you have your own kit and live locally.
