About Maria
I am a native Russian speaker and a King’s College London graduate in English Language and Literature (Upper Second-Class Honours), currently working towards obtaining my Master of Laws degree from LSE.
I grew up in Moscow and later continued my education in the UK, which allows me to work confidently with students from bilingual, international, and English-speaking backgrounds.
I teach Russian to children, teenagers, and adults at different levels, from beginners to advanced learners. My lessons are structured, clear, and fully tailored to each student’s goals — whether that is improving speaking confidence, strengthening grammar, developing reading and writing skills, or maintaining Russian as a heritage language.
I am patient, encouraging, and results-oriented. I focus on helping students feel confident using Russian in real situations while building a strong academic foundation. My aim is to make learning Russian both effective and enjoyable, with visible progress from lesson to lesson.

Russian is my mother tongue, and I have lived and studied in both Russia and the UK, which allows me to work confidently with bilingual students.
I am passionate about literature and language education and have experience teaching students of different ages (10-15) and academic levels. My lessons are structured but engaging, and I always adapt my approach to suit each student’s needs, whether the goal is improving written Russian, reading comprehension, or overall language confidence. I am patient, approachable, and results-oriented, and I aim to help students achieve measurable progress while enjoying the learning process.
