About Gerda
Hi! I’m a Spanish tutor with a strong focus on helping students feel comfortable and confident using the language in real-life situations.
I’ve spent time living in Spanish speaking countries and have developed a solid mastery of Spanish through immersion and daily use. This experience helped me understand both the challenges learners face and the most effective ways to overcome them.
I also have tutoring experience, which has helped me learn how to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and support students in a patient and structured way. I take pride in creating a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving step by step.
My approach is practical and student-focused. I’m especially good at helping learners move beyond theory and start actually speaking, understanding, and thinking in Spanish.

Each lesson is tailored to your level, goals, and learning style. Whether you’re starting from zero or already have a foundation, I adapt the content to you, this can include conversation practice, targeted exercises, vocabulary building, listening activities, and clear explanations when needed. I don’t overcomplicate things with heavy theory, but I make sure you understand how the language works in a practical way.
A typical lesson lasts 45 minutes. We usually combine speaking practice with structured guidance, so you’re actively using Spanish while also improving accuracy and fluency. I also give feedback throughout the lesson so you can immediately correct mistakes and build better habits.
I have tutoring experience and have spent time living in Latin America, which has given me a strong understanding of how Spanish is actually used in real life, not just in textbooks.
My lessons are ideal for beginner to intermediate students of all ages who want a more personalized and practical approach. Whether you’re learning for travel, work, or personal interest, I’ll help you make real progress and feel more confident speaking Spanish.
