Emilia has been my online Spanish teacher for around a year now and looking back I am astonished at how far I have come under her expert guidance.
When we first met I was three years into Duolingo but didn’t know when and where to use which verb tenses, my grammar was terrible but I finally feel I could engage with a native Spanish speaker and convey and understand eighty percent correctly.
She is very patient, sometimes I turn up for lessons unprepared and tired from the day’s work but she always has a structure that pulls me back in line and makes me realise how much I know and have progressed.
She is completely adaptable also. If I need to know an aspect that is not planned she will take it on immediately and formulate some exercises for the next session to confirm I have understood.
She is very conscientious, speaks really good English which helps explaining the more tricky aspects, is very experienced and lessons generally are completely in Spanish.
I highly recommend getting in touch with Emilia and taking a course of lessons with her. You’ll be surprised how quickly your Spanish comprehension and communication will improve.

Emilia is a fantastic teacher in so many ways. A lovely, interesting and compassionate person, she arguably speaks the best English of all the profesoras I have had and has the understanding of grammar that is so necessary. Although Argentinian, she does not inflict the differences between Latin American Spanish and European on her students and good at explaining the anomalies. She has a great personality and a fantastic sense of humour that is always such a big plus with a teacher. I was taught by her for a couple of years, I also found it fun to socialise with her and would heartily recommend her to anyone.

Emilia helped me a lot with my GCSE exam in a short time. I enjoyed the lessons, and even though I have finished the classes, my mother is now taking Spanish lessons with her.
