About Gary
I'm crap at learning languages, and I'm not Thai. So why would you want to learn Thai with me?
It's BECAUSE I found it difficult to learn Thai and other languages that I devised an approach that would work for a simpleton like me, who hates to study and gets bored easily by any kind of rote learning.
The Rapid Method harnesses natural skills we already have when speaking English or other Western languages. Like that fact that we use "tones" (intonations) for expression emotion or conveying a different meaning to the words we are speaking. It turns out that Thai has the same tones, but for different purposes. So just by mapping the intonations we have in English for, say, asking a question, to a Thai word that has the same "question" tone, it's easy and natural - and accurate!
I'm able to sound far more like a native Thai speaker as a result.
No Thai teacher will be able to explain these strategies and techniques to you because they don't know how we think or speak.

Using bizarre images and mnemonics and a systematic yet simplified approach, you can become literate in about 30 hours and immediately start reading songs, menus, street signs. Follow up with Everyday Thai for Beginners, where you learn vocabulary and sentence patterns for various everyday situations.
