About Douglas
My methodology is based on real learning. Just as a child learns by 'looking and learning', English must be taught so that one learns to listen, then speaks and then write. Of course, things get mixed up a bit in the midst of progress, but understanding sounds and being able to speak them makes words very easy to read and is the natural way of things.

I've learned English by watching hundreds of episodes of various - I do not know how many - TV series. Yes, it seems strange and unreal, but thats how I've learned to listen and understand English. I've spent years doing this, unware of fact that I was learning. One day I did not find subtitles in Portuguese and decided to try one in English.To my surprise, I understood almost everything. I continued to practice, (speaking to myself and stuff). Gradually, I learned to write, despite having learned a lot by reading English subtitles and listening to the characters talking. I never had a teacher, but it would've been wonderful if there was one. I would've learned even more in less time. In 2018 I lived for a period of 2 months in France and every time I needed it, knowing English was absolutely useful -since I do not speak French. Learning English is necessary and makes life more practical.
