I am currently working as a specialist extended scope musculoskeletal physiotherapist in the NHS. Trained to an Masters in Science (MSc) level, working towards Musculoskeletal association of chartered physiotherapists) MACP membership.
My teaching method is fun and inquisitive. My classes usually include a lot of past papers and question to ensure you learn and assimilate your knowledge. I also use a lot of media during my classes so that you learn while having fun :).
I am a friendly, flexible, and motivating teacher and tutor with more than seven years of Biology teaching experience gained in mainstream, international/bilingual and private education and via private tutoring. I teach Life Sciences to everyone who is interested, I always tailor my sessions according to students' needs.
During the higher education courses I have learned and applied various methods of teaching that can be tailored to the needs of students as well as the requirements necessary for a high level of success can do groups and individuals
I involve the learner through engaging with their interests and at a level and pace that they are comfortable with. I believe that every learner is an individual and my learning styles will be responsive to each student to ensure that they are actively involved throughout.
I emphasise the understanding of the concepts rather than memorisation. I like to have the students draw flowcharts and tables when possible to pare down information into the vital sentences for easy recollection.
I encourage and foster independence of my students. My teaching method is based on what type of learner my tutee is, i.e visual, auditory, reading/writing or kinesthetic.
My teaching method begins with explaining the topic we are learning and questioning the student as to what they think the topic is about. Whether they are correct of incorrect, once i explain what it is about they will remember what is in that topic during their exams based on the what they initially thought! This definitely worked for me whilst i completed my GCSE's.
I like to teach by open discussions as well as by using diagrams and flow charts to explain processes or concepts. I encourage students to come prepared with a little bit of pre-reading so that I am there to assist in furthering their knowledge as science is fact-based and I believe anyone can understand the basic gist of anything if they put their mind to it.
have a strong grudge with the education system's way of teaching these topics at both GCSE and A level. This comes from my personal belief in creative teaching. Creative teaching induces creative learning methods which can help students learn difficult abstract concepts more easily.
I like to teach with having an interactive session, I like to be well prepared for the topics you want to learn, hence I usually ask my students regarding the topics they want to understand beforehand so that I can provide best service and information to them.
Tutoring Approach: I truly believe that tutoring plays a significant role in learning and allowing students to achieve the grades they are capable of. Every student studies in a different way and has their own way of learning. I have noticed this by seeing the way i study, compared to my friends and also other students I tutor.
My name is Farhana Chohan, I am able to teach topics in biology and chemistry up to A-level. I am happy to help students one-to-one, or can help students in a group. The technique I found to be realistic and effective is to first identify which topics the student(s) require help with, and to focus on one topic per lesson so that the topic can be explained fully at a steady pace.
I teach with technology where I can, showing diagrams and models to better understand perspective and detail where possible. I am also able to teach with whiteboards or with just textbooks being able to explain and help understand the details.
I approach each topic or concept differently. Some topics need to taught with diagrams and some topics can be taught just by bullet points. Also, everyone works differently. Some students like mind maps, some don't. Once I know which concepts are difficult for you and which method of learning suits you the best, then I will make sure that you have fully grasped the concept as soon as possible.
I like to adapt my teaching style to the student and what bests suits them. For example, if they learn better from a visual approach, I'll tutor them using that approach. As an individual I'm a very friendly and relaxed person.
My teaching method is interactive and engaging (can be fun too), alongside the pupil being able to ask as many questions as possible. I am looking to give lessons to all ages up to IB, however, before each lesson, I will need to be provided with what topic the pupil would like to cover, preferably with a one day allowance to prepare the correct material.
I have graduated with BSc Biomedical Science degree and have been teaching sciences for over 10 years now. My methodical approach to private tuition became popular among students in West London area.
I have a First class degree (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and experience in pharmaceutical industry. If you are looking for GCSE and Alevel biology, chemistry or applied science lessons, I can help. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
I have a passion for empowering young people to fulfil their full potential! It is my understanding that for some young students, classroom based learning does not allow them to achieve maximum results because their teacher simply may not have the time to explain topics in the depth and detail that is required to achieve top marks.
I have various teaching methods ranging from textbook to interactive sessions which cater the students needs. I assess the students strengths and weaknesses and focus on the latter. Additionally i believe that learning should be fun therefore I vary the methods of teaching to ensure the student is learning and having fun simultaneously, to ensure the lesson is productive.
Hello, I am a London based medical doctor with an immense passion for teaching the sciences and maths at GCSE, A Level and IB. My specialty subject is Biology, where I particularly excel and have taught the most hours. My Story I was born and raised in Leeds (UK) and attended Bradford Grammar School (2005 to 2010), where I completed my GCSE and A Levels in the sciences and mathematics.
I am looking to teach GCSE/ A level students, and can also offer advice and support on getting into medical school, as well as being successful whilst there. I am happy to base teaching on what is important or particularly challenging to the student, and have a wide range of resources from my previous learning which I can use to help.
I use analogies to break down complex ideas which often is the case in Biology and Chemistry. I tend to use humour as it helps to relax the students and reduce stress when anxious about a subject. I focus on the keeping to the learning objectives and will make sure that they understand the subject and not simply memorise it.
As a current student, I understand that no two individuals are the same and therefore nobody has an identical study pattern. Knowing this the first thing I aim to do with each student is to identify their best method of studying. Once this is established I design each lesson specifically to meet the needs of the students. Together we set goals and will achieve them within a specific time frame.
My teaching method is to explain in such a way that the students understand what's being taught and not just learn, because memorising knowledge can eventually be forgotten, whereas what you understood is what's going to be with you for lifetime.
My teaching method is to first establish what the student struggles with and focus efforts on building their knowledge and confidence around that topic. I would do this by going through many different sources and gathering together the information to explain the topic in a logical and simple way, then test their knowledge recall using questions I've prepared.
Hi, my name is Karolina and I am a Dentistry Student from King's College London. I understand that many students find certain aspects of the A-level syllabus challenging and having recently completed mine I believe that I know how to present them in a simpler and easier to understand way. GCSE grades: A*- all subjects. A-level- Psychology A*, Biology/Chemistry-A.
Before each lesson, I will ensure to a thorough understanding of the topic of the session and initially come with my own questions to gauge your current knowledge. I will make my lessons as interactive as possible, explaining a concept to you with a variety of examples that will illustrate the kind of questions likely to come up in your exams.
My teaching methodology is mainly interactivity. I like to inspire the student and to make them want to learn more. I truly believe that the best way of learning is by searching and discussing with logic and reason different topics. I like to use different methods for delivering content such as presentations, animations, pictures, diagrams and videos.
