My teaching method is quite flexible and will often depend on each individual student and their preferred learning styles. I base my lessons around the current curriculum - can be AQA/Edexel/OCR (for GCSE or A-level) or up to KS3 level. I tend to approach each topic in smaller sections and break core units etc. down into easier to absorb sub-units.
I am currently working as a specialist extended scope musculoskeletal physiotherapist in the NHS. Trained to an Masters in Science (MSc) level, working towards Musculoskeletal association of chartered physiotherapists) MACP membership.
My teaching is tailored to your needs and learning preferences. There are two main types of lesson: One is subject focused tutorials. For example, if you struggle to understand a scientific concept, I will plan a tutorial around that subject to help you make sense of it. If desired, this kind of lesson can be supplemented with homework that tests your understanding of the subject.
I can teach up to the university level. I value deep understanding. When a topic is truly understood, the relevant information is more likely be stored in the long term memory. I would identify a student's preference for learning (Visual, aural, verbal etc.) and then build a lesson around their strengths.
I am an experienced science teacher and tutor I love to see my students making progress. I make learning fun by using a variety of teaching styles. I always embed lots of exam questions and notes into my lessons to ensure the learner has the tools to succeed.
I like to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible, with loads of questions, quizzes and small games. Also, I think independent learning is important too, so the lesson would also include discussions on the topic and the student can ask questions from his own research on the topic.
Online tutoring or tutoring in central London, using different methods to help pupils learn in the best way: tests, essay writing, quizzes, drawing, reading etc. I can tutor A-level students (or IB students, but preferably A-level students). Subjects tutored: History (up to A2 level), Chemistry (AS), Biology (A2), French (A2) and Law (I have completed two law modules at the LSE).
I have a student centered approach to learning; I believe that it is vital for students to be able to participate and engage in their learning.
My teaching method is based on how the student learns best. My biggest aim as a tutor is to encourage critical thinking and practice exam strategy. My most popular teaching method has been to take a topic, and explain the topic by drawing pictures and diagrams while explaining, and then asking the student to try and explain it to me.
I love teaching and especially making a difference which I have done numerous times. I care about how people learn and have a particular focus on teaching in a way that is best for each individual. As we all learn differently and so I have a specific focus on making the learning relevant to each student.
Hello! I am a 6th year medical student from the first faculty of medicine, in Prague and I have completed an BSc in biomedical sciences and an MSc in Pharmacology at Queen Mary and King's College of London, respectively. I have many core skills including excellent communication and listening skills attained from various experiences including differing roles in the NHS while studying.
I offer Biology, Chemistry and Psychology lessons up to AS level. I use a student-centred, high tech and kinesthetic approach within my sessions. This means I will coach and facilitate the students learning and their overall comprehension of the material.
I'm a very enthusiastic teacher and prefer to approach the student with questions so that they can learn in a systematic and methodical approach, which usually helps with more prolonged learning. I approach each topic individually and ensure that there is a general understanding of the topic as a whole before going into the finer details.
I am offering lessons to GCSE/A-Level students who struggle with complicated topics and as a student who constantly gained A*s I can offer good exam technique and revision advice. In a lesson I will go over basics of a topic before going into more detail on parts that the student struggles with and then will show them how to answer exam questions on that topic.
My aim as a tutor, is not only to develop understanding, but to offer advice on exam technique and to increase student confidence. I have tutored a large number of students during a one to one setting and group sessions. Revision plans are tailored to each student. My approach varies depending on the student as all have different needs and learning styles.
My focus is on learner centered teaching, where the emphasis is on enabling the student to understand the theory and integrate/ apply it practically. The focus/ emphasis is on building the student's confidence, analytical skills and knowledge base to ensure success.
If you need a friendly, knowledgeable and very experienced tutor to help you with your medical or nursing career I would love to talk to you. We can have a good chat (free of charge) and you will be under no obligation whatsoever to use my services.
I base my lessons on a pre-evaluation of the student current knowledge to make emphasis on the hot spots to develop and the ones already known that require an in-dept knowledge. According to the subject and objectives I make a mix of lecturing and hands-on labs, tests are related to static knowledge and think out-of-the-box questions or assignments.
I break down each topic into small, manageable segments and make my own resources for the pupil to easily learn these. I find that as a young tutor pupils relate more to my teaching style and I understand how to engage them. Hence I keep my teaching very interactive, with the primary focus of maximising examination grades.
I teach using colours and more discussion based over writing a lot, as this is how I learn. Each lesson will be a small introduction to the subject, a small worksheet with questions which you can attempt, then we discuss or can go through them together.
My teaching method would be based on how you learn best, not everyone learns in the same way so it's about what works best for you. A lot of the time it can be best to take things back to basic knowledge and work out exactly what it is you don't understand. I'm very patient and I'll go over things as many times as needed in as many different ways until it's understood.
My approach is a holistic one, tackling not only academic achievements but to stir in them an enthusiasm to learn, to develop a self-driven attitude in them that is beneficial in the working world-- all these are a product of the benefit of foresight I believe I possess.
My teaching method is very much student driven. What area of Nursing/Health is giving you trouble, what level of knowledge do you currently require and how best do you learn and understand new information. I take all of these factors and more into account when developing a session for you.
I involve the learner through engaging with their interests and at a level and pace that they are comfortable with. I believe that every learner is an individual and my learning styles will be responsive to each student to ensure that they are actively involved throughout.
In one-to-one or small group tutoring, I encourage self-learning and help my students to develop critical and creative thinking skills. This assists them to retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization.
I'm studying an undergraduate degree, so I'm able to tutor students up to A-levels and first year undergraduate confidently. I like to introduce a topic, go over a couple of examples and then expand on areas that my students find difficult or interesting.
I plan to tailor my teaching style to the individual needs of my students. Each lesson will be start and finish with a mini test, allowing us to assess you current knowledge of the subject and to track your progress.
I find the best results are obtained by progressive interaction between tutor and student - the best retention of knowledge and understanding occurs when the student can convey the subject matter back to the tutor in their own style and words (with help and prompting when necessary).
My teaching methods depend on the student. Everyone learns in different ways and it's best to see which method suits each individual. I am very enthusiastic about my subject and feel I can explain quite complicated topics in an interesting and easy to understand way.
My teaching method is to identify the areas in which the student needs most help with, then focus on converting those weaknesses into strengths by clear, in-depth explanation and practice. I ensure my student understands the concepts before revising all the details.
