I like my students to see their own progress, I will set a weekly target so they can see their hard work paying off. I also love to make up fun ways of remembering certain aspects to reading music such as little rhymes and songs which my students can personalise to their liking.
Are you a professional cellist in need of advice on early music performance? Are you an amateur looking to improve you technique? Are you a student who needs help in everyday practice? Would you like to start your adventure with cello and don't know where to begin? I can help you!
I teach students of all ages and abilities and during term time work in 9 schools in Tower Hamlets. I am able to prepare students for exams using both ABRSM and Trinity exam boards but am equally happy to teach students who are learning for fun.
I like to make lessons energetic and fun whilst gaining the most out of the time given and recognising progress in a short period. Beginning the excersises to increase power, control, range and much more. We will choose from songs of your preference and I'm happy to help you with whatever you may need.
I don't follow any specific method for teaching the cello - I teach my students a good technique, solidifying it with a few exercises and scales, and then working through lots of great pieces! I leave it up to my students whether or not they want to work towards grades, or just play for fun.
