I build my tutoring sessions largely around student’s weaknesses. By using everyday examples to explain key concepts to children, I help students build their confidence and increase their love and understanding for the subject, briefly revise key concepts with students and then work through questions to ascertain understanding.
Individual teaching in GCSE maths, physics and chemistry, by going to your designated location, such as your home. I will tutor by talking, doing GCSE exam questions and explaining in thorough detail. I have graduated high school with 11 GCSE’s. My strongest subject is science followed by mathematics.
I loved studying Maths and Science at school (in particular Chemistry) and I went on to obtain a degree in Natural Sciences. I have previously worked as a Cover Teacher and enjoy interacting with young people, particularly in a learning environment. This is the first time I will be tutoring, so I am open to providing support in whatever way my students feel they need it.
Math knowledge excites and inspires me. When I see math problems, I can visualize multiple approaches to get to the solution. There is art and beauty in creative problem solving in math and, and it is my pleasure to share this appreciation with others through tutoring. Different students have different ways of understanding different subjects.
I try to make lessons easy to understand and fun by breaking down topics to basics first, then building up and beyond the syllabus- this keeps students' curious in the subject! I am resilient with students and make sure they fully understand the topic through exam practice and small quizzes. I tailor teaching methods to each student's style of learning.
I am passionate about Science and Chemistry in particular, it is a subject which you will never fully understand as we are continually learning and discovering about it - which is great! Lessons will be engaging, tailored to you and as interactive as possible.
I have been voluntarily mentoring at my college for a year, giving lessons to struggling year 12 students. I ensure every student fully understands each topic and receives at least 80% in the end of unit test before moving on the next.
I am a third year student at University of Greenwich. I have the highest grades and a natural talent for chemistry. I want to share my knowledge, my study and learning technique with other students. I believe everyone can do chemistry, is just up to the teacher to make the subject interesting.
I tutor students of all ages. As a qualified teacher, I can quickly identify learners' needs and tailor my teaching as appropriate. I believe in acquiring a deep understanding of the subject to allow application of knowledge in new contexts, rather than simply memorising examples.
I can teach maths, physics and chemistry from Year 7 up to Year 11 (GCSE level), and I aim to help students with not only their ability to apply maths, physics and chemistry to exam problems but also with their understanding of the maths, physics or chemistry involved. I am driven and motivated to make maths and physics not only understandable but also enjoyable.
I dislike jamming unnecessary information in students' heads. I prefer keeping it taut; letting in just enough knowledge about the relevant topics to get students through their exams with flying colours. I follow a strictly practical method. I do this mostly by directly approaching a question first, and then ask the student his opinions about the question.
Tutoring Approach: I truly believe that tutoring plays a significant role in learning and allowing students to achieve the grades they are capable of. Every student studies in a different way and has their own way of learning. I have noticed this by seeing the way i study, compared to my friends and also other students I tutor.
Experienced Primary and Secondary School level Science and Turkish teacher with excellent communication skills. Attentive , resourceful freelance teacher and homework supporter. Uses effective and efficient methods of teaching whilst focusing on the individual needs. Also, I taught Turkish lesson to primary and secondary school students.
My teaching method relies on creating a good foundation of understanding and then applying the information to exams or activities so students can put their work into context. Lesson goals will be tailored to each students needs to ensure they get help in the right areas.
My teaching method is based around my student. I believe there is not one method that fits all, however I do believe one-one classes are better and I do prefer teaching in person, however I do teach online. I teach with a passion for learning myself and my pace is completely up to that of the student.
I am adaptable and flexible so if you already know how you learn best feel free to let me know beforehand and I will conform to that. If you don`t, I have no problem in trying out a few methods and figuring things out together! I have previously taught using traditional lecturing methods but have also done question and answer, worksheets, used models and interactive learning.
I personally base my method of teaching as being a student my self, and understand from a students point of mind what it takes and what i would need to understand a topic simply and quickly. I make it fun, enjoyable and i am very good at what i do.
My teaching method depends on the student and how he/she will process the information.
I work by first assessing your learning style, where you currently are, where you want to be to, and the most effective route to get there. I use this to tailor my tutoring style to you, helping you to get the most out of our sessions.
I have been teaching Chinese nationals in China for the last 5 years and they have been able to achieve the highest grades (A-A*), even with English as their second language. This is not beyond the reach of anyone that is committed and, basically, follows my instructions, as they have been tried and tested. Prior to this I taught in Enfield and Barnet for 5 years as a qualified Science teacher.
I first ask students what topics they feel less confident in and start teaching them those topics and then give them tests on those topics. If they are not sure, then I will give them a test and identify their weak areas/topics and work on those. I also importantly ask how they would like their lessons eg. more interactive and tailor to their needs.
I try to structure my lessons around the student. They are there to fill in gaps so it is important that it comes from the student what they need to go over and learn. An essential part of learning is being able to explain it back so I am a big fan of quizzes whilst the student explains their answers at the end of lessons.
I approach my topics firstly by giving easy-to-understand explanations and drawing diagrams. Next we will go through some practice questions and you can clarify any of your doubts as we progress through them. My emphasis is on helping you to understand concepts rather than covering lots of content as I feel this is more useful in the real world and will make you more successful in anything you do.
I pride myself in being able to break down concepts and making them less abstract for my students. Additionally, I ensure that pupils are shown the relevance of what they are learning and how it links to other subject areas. I ensure that I scaffold anything that i teach to ensure that pupils progress with confidence in easy and manageable steps.
My teaching methods vary from student to student. Individually personalised and taylored tutoring to meet the specific needs and targets of the students and parent. I am passionate motivated and strongly driven to put it what ever it takes to help my students not matter there needs. I am well organised and believe structure is the key to achieving any goals.
My teaching method is to provide information to students for them to write down in their own words best suited and tailored to each individual.
I am currently a biochemistry student willing to teach biology and chemistry at the level of A-levels. Tutoring sessions will include encouragement, patience and personalised study for students. A variety of studying styles will be used, such as practice questions and mind mapping.
I would not consider myself to be a perfectionist or perfect individual but one key aspect that has always been noticed by my peers and superiors is that I am very understanding of people regardless of how I am treated and whatever background people come from and I have found this to be a useful trait in all my workplaces.
Currently teaching students maths from year 7 all the way up to A levels however I only teach chemistry up to GCSE level. My lessons generally begin with tackling questions and then transition into learning content. My preferred teaching style is to teach with the aid of a white board whilst simultaneously bouncing of ideas with the student to ensure they fully understood the concept.
Learning is a methodical process, and understanding is key. I'm here to teach you how to overcome learning barriers and how to be an efficient student. I am tolerant to working with a variety of a people, and my evidence for this is through trying to teach my sister, which is more challenging than it sounds.
