I am patient, enthusiastic and believe that the key to learning is understanding. I absolutely love science and try to integrate everyday examples and explanations into what the students are required to learn. Lesson are based around what the student needs at a particular time - whether it is to catch up, keep on top of things at school or cramming for exams.
An internationally awarded & recognised, fun, friendly and hardworking tutor, who's on your side when it comes to exams and school. We're a team, and I'm going to help you succeed. Let's do this.
With grade 9s in triple science and maths I can definitely help you achieve the top grades. My teaching method is to completely ensure that the student grasps the concept of what is being taught and then continually test them to make sure that no mistakes are made with their learning.
I have been tutoring Mathematics and the Sciences for the past two years, working with students from the ages of 11 to 16 with varying goals, including; • Long-term teaching to nurture a deeper understanding of concepts included in the National Curriculum.
I loved studying Maths and Science at school (in particular Chemistry) and I went on to obtain a degree in Natural Sciences. I have previously worked as a Cover Teacher and enjoy interacting with young people, particularly in a learning environment. This is the first time I will be tutoring, so I am open to providing support in whatever way my students feel they need it.
Math knowledge excites and inspires me. When I see math problems, I can visualize multiple approaches to get to the solution. There is art and beauty in creative problem solving in math and, and it is my pleasure to share this appreciation with others through tutoring. Different students have different ways of understanding different subjects.
My teaching method is to focus on the student, and the student's needs. Whether the syllabus is understood is dependant entirely on the pupil. I look at each area of weakness or uncertainity and go over said topic until the student understands the concept completely and can demonstrate the understanding practically.
I am a friendly and confident person. My lessons are aimed at A-level chemistry and biology, but I am happy to teach GCSE lessons. My teaching methods include tailoring the lessons for areas of difficulty based around the appropriate exam board, whilst gaining a solid understanding of the material not just to pass the exam.
Some students just need knowledge, i.e., their problem is they do not know the topic and need to learn the content and in other occasions they do not understand or do not know haw to apply what they already know, I first identify the need and after that I apply the methodology according to the final target.
I am a recent graduate, so I am able to offer guidance to students up to high school level. My motto in terms of tutoring that all the concepts should be clear to the student, and if not, it is the tutor's responsibility which he/she has not fulfilled appropriately. So all lessons are directed towards completing the syllabus and clearing any doubts in the student's mind.
Maths and science require a consistent acquisition of skills which build on each other. Therefore, it is difficult to acquire that next skill if there is a gap in knowledge. My mission is to find those gaps, fill them and then build on. My teaching style is problem-based heavy, using lots of examples.
I like to go into details of every subject matter and make sure the student has understood it before I move on to another chapter. I like to do enough research about any chapter that's up so that I could provide students with best method to solve questions. My lessons are based on interactions.
What makes me a great tutor is that I encourage students to apply their knowledge to lots of different areas of science and encourage them to ask a lot of questions. This means students are not simply learning facts but are able to think more independently and laterally.
Tutoring Approach: I truly believe that tutoring plays a significant role in learning and allowing students to achieve the grades they are capable of. Every student studies in a different way and has their own way of learning. I have noticed this by seeing the way i study, compared to my friends and also other students I tutor.
My teaching method relies on creating a good foundation of understanding and then applying the information to exams or activities so students can put their work into context. Lesson goals will be tailored to each students needs to ensure they get help in the right areas.
I personally base my method of teaching as being a student my self, and understand from a students point of mind what it takes and what i would need to understand a topic simply and quickly. I make it fun, enjoyable and i am very good at what i do.
My teaching method depends on the student and how he/she will process the information.
I first ask students what topics they feel less confident in and start teaching them those topics and then give them tests on those topics. If they are not sure, then I will give them a test and identify their weak areas/topics and work on those. I also importantly ask how they would like their lessons eg. more interactive and tailor to their needs.
I pride myself in being able to break down concepts and making them less abstract for my students. Additionally, I ensure that pupils are shown the relevance of what they are learning and how it links to other subject areas. I ensure that I scaffold anything that i teach to ensure that pupils progress with confidence in easy and manageable steps.
I am currently a biochemistry student willing to teach biology and chemistry at the level of A-levels. Tutoring sessions will include encouragement, patience and personalised study for students. A variety of studying styles will be used, such as practice questions and mind mapping.
Fun, Exam skills, making lessons finny so student can remember it.Focus on success and positives. Learn basics well before complicated things.Remembiring key words. How to answer questions most efficiently and gain maximum possible marks. Likable and friendly will go over things in detail and in most effective way possible.
My subject areas of speciality are Maths and Chemistry, as I can teach students up to their A-level degree. Lessons are usually structured in the order of: homework report (including addressing some difficulties students may have found in his studies), explanatory teaching, and practice questions at the very end, as a believe this is the best learning method.
I have always had a passion for maths and science subjects, this led me to have always been top of my class in maths and sciences. I have also achieved an A* in both GCSE and A level Maths. Now that I am a medical student at Imperial College London, I would like to tutor primary, secondary and GCSE students in Maths and related subjects.
I start tutoring my students with a plan. Depending on how much we need to cover/learn, I will make a study plan which suits them and ensure that we have enough time for past paper practice before exams. After each lesson I provide homework on the topics learnt, which also includes general questions based on what we have learnt in the last 2 weeks to refresh our memory.
Lessons are delivered with an emphasis on understanding! Physics isn't hard, Chemistry isn't hard. I teach to ensure the foundations are covered and then ensure concepts are retained through LOTS of practice via past papers, example questions. Whether you're being tutored or taught, make sure to always ask questions before moving to the next topic.
I approach the tutorial sessions by going over the subject matter briefly after consulting the student and knowing what he/she wants to cover in the period of time. After that, I go over past year papers and the solutions to the questions in those past papers.
the way that i teach is by first showing the person on people that i am helping an example and braking it down to make it under stadebal and simple then i while give them an example to go through with my and see if they are able to understand by them selves
I teach basics of maths and physics by drawing pictures. Then I practice questions papers to make sure the students learnt the concept. Then I give homework and worksheets to practice.
I mainly prefer to make the subjects fun to my students. I do this by using a lot of visual and imaginative aids. The first few classes are always to figure out their present strengths and weaknesses and then to further improve on them. After that, I begin intensive relearning of the subjects and build on their strengths to reduce their weakness.
I give lessons in Maths and Science to GCSE level. I like to get to know my students well - their strengths and weaknesses, expectations and concerns for the subject - and I am a firm believer in encouragement in all areas. I bring a positive and hopefully outlook to every lesson, and I am excited to watch my students grow and succeed. My tutoring style is a gentle but persistent approach.
