GCSE and A-Level students: Prior to our first session, I will familiarise myself with your exam board's requirements, your set texts, and specimen papers - in other words, find out exactly what we need to focus on for your assessments and exams. In our first lesson, we will discuss aspects of the course you may be struggling with - or finding most enjoyable - so I can tailor my lesson plans to you.
I tend work very methodically from step by step learning plans so that a clear path of progression can be outlined and seen by the student. The first thing for me to do is to establish the goals that each student wants or needs to achieve. From that point, I can start to spot weaknesses that may hinder achieving those goals, and identify areas that need to be developed in particular.

I tailor my lessons to fit your needs. We'll discuss the areas you feel less confident in and this will be our focus. I hope to be an encouraging, positive influence as I assist you in your learning and empower you to consider your own interpretation of the text you're studying, as well as critically evaluating the opinions of other critical material.
