I've been an English language teacher and teacher trainer for 20 years. For the past 14 years, I held the position of Senior Lecturer in TESOL at a British University. I am now self-employed and support the success of home and international students.
I firstly would like to make genuine approach with the pupils because I believe that learning or improving a new language may be scary. I have small formulas to keep grammar rules in mind; they aren't strict but makes it easier to learn basics.
Learning should be fun! I aim for you to have a good time and not realize that you are learning. I also think that students should be interested in the material, so I really work to make sure each lesson is geared towards your personal interests.
I currently tutor 4 students for 1 hour each per week. I have a 100% pass rate at GCSE and A-level with most of my students gaining A* grades.
I am an experienced educator, teaching all levels, i bring many elements to the class, after spending more than 15 years in the far East, I find that I love the challenge of something new. My methods vary from learner to learner as no two learners are the same and learner needs vary greatly.
My teaching methodology is eclectic and bespoke. My purpose is to address the individual needs and preferences of my students, be it geared towards public exam preparation, general conversation, grammar and written improvement, development of business language or general language learning skills.
I am a flexible and creative teacher, able to inspire and engage. I am an English teacher committed to excellence and dedicated to my professional development. I am currently teaching GCSE and Functional English, Cambridge O Levels and AS English Language and Literature. I also have experience tutoring KS2 and KS3 level students.
I base my teaching around the needs of the student.
British Book Awards Top 20 Nominee. I work by encouraging the students through writing and language. I am available to teach, primary school, secondary school, adult learners, foreign students and anybody wanting to hone their English skills or delve into the world of creative writing.
When tutoring students in education, my lessons are structured to support the national curriculum. When tutoring students in the private sector I devise lesson plans for the individuals needs.
