• A brief description of yourself and the kind of students your lessons are geared towards : Experienced Cambridge Certified English tutor who lives in both the United Kingdom and Ukraine at different times of the year. I am a highly motivated teacher, mentor and educator. I am goal oriented and highly motivated to achieve set goals.
Hi, I’m Pete, and I’m presently working at Birkdale, teaching English at a nearby Mosque, travelling to sunny Gainsborough for lots of GCSE poetry and prose ( who can tire of one's anthology of poems? Polite answers only, please), teaching Macbeth, IELTS ( there's always IELTS ), City and Guilds and the Weimar with a student from Sheffield High.
I would like to make lessons bespoke, and completely based around the pupil, for me this is the most important part, sometimes people don't just want to learn how to count to 10? or how to say Goodbye. People want and need actual scenarios that they will actually come across when speaking a second language.
I like to approach each topic from the basics, making sure the foundations are understood and make my way up making things more and more complex. Depending on what you are learning for, GCSE/As/A Level, IELTS/TOEFL or just conversational, I will approach the teaching with different methodologies.
I teach mainly one to one, pairs and small groups and the students are the focal point of every lesson. Each lesson is tailor-made with the main emphasis being placed on learner needs and desires so that the students are as much a part of their language development as I am in terms of the aims, objectives, creativity and content.
To teach English I would focus more on the student’s learning. Since I learn languages myself I know how difficult it is sometimes to remember certain things. I’ll take the lessons slow but fun so it’s easier to remember what we learnt.
My method of teaching depends on what kind of learner the sudent is, I can adapt my method to meet the student’s needs.
My teaching methods are fairly relaxed, whether it be conversational to practice, or playing games to help the student remember, or basing the lesson on a particularly subject and then teaching relative words and phrases. It depends on the student and what is most helpful to the individual.
if your looking for someone who help you start with the basics on speaking the English Language. Look no further my lessons are design to be unique from a normal class. I will try to bring fun into my lesson so that people can enjoy and learn at the same time.
My teaching method is mixed which incorporates both demonstration, facilitation and development of knowledge. I ensure that my approach involves practical and independent learning and I will adapt my style according to my learner needs and requirements.
I prioritise communication and fun above all. I want students to feel comfortable speaking and to enjoy learning. I base my lessons on each individual student and seek to find out what they want out of the lesson so as to tailor each lesson to them. I try my best to establish a friendly, convivial rapport between myself and the student.
My teaching method revolves around in-depth understanding. I focus on clearing the background of the topic which helps a person to associate and learn better.
I always get to know my learners L1 to enable me know what may pose as a challenge and create culturally acceptable topics for my learners.

Online or face to face. Using exercises, video, conversation and covering topics relevant to and chosen with the student. The aim is for the student to have the majority of the speaking time. And to correct and encourage them in a positive manner.
Lessons are tailored to the needs, age and ability of students. I like to use a range of material and methods to work on the various aspects of language that students are interested in. Most important is using the interests and ideas of the student to create a programme that suits them, and one where they can really feel comfortable in the lesson.
