I enjoy teaching other students how to play the flute, an instrument that I enjoy, so that they could have something to enjoy too. My lessons will be fun and enjoyable, and there will be some edible treats at the end of each lesson. I work by having a notebook for each student.
I believe that my responsibility as a teacher is to adapt to the needs of each individual student and to learn what methods work for them.
As a flute student myself, I take an interest-based approach to motivate students to improve their skills and techniques. I understand the difficulties or possible mistakes students would make because I have been in their position, so I can lead them to the right direction without making them wasting too much time figuring out themselves.
I can offer intensive (or regular) courses adapted to your specific needs and interests, no matter what your level. Perhaps weekly lessons are not convenient for you and you would like a crash-course to get started, or you would like to establish a method that could allow you to be a self-sufficient learner.
If you have arrived here, surely you must share my belief that the flute is one of the most beautiful instruments that exist. Join me for lessons in beginning the flute from the very start up to Grade 3/4, and take up an amazingly versatile instrument.
I have been playing the flute for over 12 years now and always loved my lessons growing up so would love to start teaching any ages and levels. I would like to teach beginners starting out with the flute of any age and start from the basics to ensure a good core foundation in flute playing then progress to reading pieces of music, improving tone, breathing and confidence.
Hi, I'm Florence and I've been playing the flute for over 10 years! I'd love to pass on my knowledge and love of music to others, and can adapt my lessons depending on if you're a beginner or more advanced and studying for graded exams. I'm currently studying in my 3rd year of medicine at Imperial College, however still enjoy playing my flute and piano and singing.
