I am always keen to provide individualised and differentiated support for my students that are struggling with learning concepts and mathematical topics, presenting information in a variety of ways, emphasising relevance of class material to the world beyond the classroom.
If you have not started to learn this subject, I will teach you patiently with each chapter, make sure you understand all of it. And we will do some exam papers to check. If you just want to learn certain chapter, we can just focus on it and tackle some difficult questions. I also have some Chinese way to do the questions, which may be easier to understand.
A qualified Science teacher with experience of tutoring students at key stages 3, 4, 5 and undergraduate level. Many of my past students have attained high grades in their examinations. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Biology and Chemistry up to GCSE, and Physics and Mathematics from key stage 3 up to A level. - Tell me about your qualifications.
Through getting to know the student(s) and how they learn different things I am able to personalize my lessons to aid their learning in an efficient way. Whether the student is a visual, auditory or vocal learner, I am able to deliver a fun yet productive lesson.
I have achieved an A* in mathematics at GCSE level, two A grades in Maths and Further Maths at AS-level, and am expecting two A* grades in Maths and Further Maths at A-level. My tutoring method is to ask students what they want from the session in advance, and provide challenging material based on the skills required for these topics.
Can offer slides on topics with exam questions to help practise as we go along.
I base my teaching on the needs of the student. If there is a certain area of mathematics or physics where the student is not confident, I will focus my energy on this area and deliberate the main concepts to bring each area to life and ensure the student fully understands and is able to answer the problem.
Currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Northumbria, I will be moving onto my MSc next year with aims to become a full time lecturer the year after. I also have a strong background in psychology, sports psychology and private sports/nutrition coaching.
I can help with understanding of material through diagrams and in-depth explanations as well as showing students my own personal techniques for understanding certain materials.
I try to explain Maths specifically such that it can be understood, hence making it much easier to excel at for anyone.
As a Masters student, I am well versed in physics and mathematics, and usually prefer to teach GSCE level students but KS3 is fine as well. I believe in establishing the baseline of what the student already knows and then furthering its frontiers through simultaneously teaching and assessing the student, while ensuring that the scope of study for the course is thoroughly exhausted.
I base my methods on problem-solving and understanding. Each topic is covered in detail using real-world applications and then I solve various problems of the same topic but that are presented in a different manner. This way it is more exhaustive and one is prepared to solve problems asked in any manner from a topic.
I prefer explaining things very slowly and believe in deep understanding rather than memorising. I believe every mathematical problem should be understood first before undertaking any action. also I think its a good idea to make this subject fun by allowing the student to taste the joy of solving a problem before giving him something impossible to solve.
My teaching methodology is incorporating a wide variety of fun and challenging elements, helping the students to uplift their confidence, enhance their subject understanding and boost their critical thinking. As a result, I am using a "cooking collaborative peer formula", if you are not aware of it, rest assured, as I will be explaining below.
The first thing I try to do is build trust between my students and myself. This is followed by identifying their strengths and weakness. My mode of knowledge delivery is to try to link the student's interests and real world experiences with mathematics topics.
My teaching is heavily based on solving problems. The quickest and (more importantly) surest route to understanding and proficiency is through practice. I also encourage a visual approach; for both memory and comprehension, visualisation has profound benefits.
I know how overwhelming studying Maths and Physics can be at first which is why I aim to tailor my lessons to each unique students learning preferences in order to make you feel comfortable with the subject. I offer Maths, Physics, and even Further Maths lessons. I offer Further Maths lessons even if your school doesn't provide them.
I cater every lesson to the needs of each student, and prepare accordingly. The general structure of each session is as follows: Firstly I discuss the student's strengths and weaknesses, as well as their goals. The majority of the session will be used to cover the knowledge and concepts behind the topic under discussion, in addition to relevant past paper questions.
My teaching method is doing past papers together, as well as using other maths resources online. Depending on the students, i have different methods on teaching different students, ensuring they bring out their best potential.
I'm quite a chatty and social person so I find discussion is the best way to overcome difficulties in maths. I like to sit and go through questions one by one with the student so i can explain in detail the areas they are struggling with.
Deeply interested in subjects, have a good experience of teaching all level problems from simple to very difficult ones (suitable for Olympiads), have a good selection of study materials. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Maths, Physics - Tell me about your qualifications.
I approach a lesson with a focus on the student, taking time and care with topics and methods which they are not so familiar or confident with. I prefer to teach with a mentality of focusing on the skills which exams look for.
Hi, I'm Ben and I am a Mechatronics student with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am providing Maths tuition. This will be my first time Professionally Tutoring. But I have a lot of experience working with younger people and am eager to learn on the job. Because of this you will notice that my rate per hour is lower than other Tutors.
I am willing to offer my mathematics tuition to students of all ages, young and old, where I will take a friendly approach adapting the lessons to suit your needs. Once we have had our initial meeting, I will mold the lessons around you to give you the best teaching style for you so that you gain the most benefits.
I believe that initially it is important to sit down with student to figure out their strengths and weaknesses before we start the tutoring so that I can prepare my materials accordingly. Then we will work on the theory of each of these topics and move on to practice questions because I believe that that is the best way to consolidate your understanding.
- Classes Each session is based on the free assessment carried out initially. The session is 80 minutes long and is made up of one-to-one work with fully qualified and experienced teachers, computer-based work, individual tasks to aid progress, checking and setting homework, exam preparation, individual needs. The session can be dedicated to English or Mathematics or both.
