I can help you with technique, tablature reading, learning the basics. I can play in numerous styles, having completed classical grade 8 in 2012, playing in a country/rock band and enjoying playing blues. This means I am able to help you in any style that you would like to improve in. I am 21 and educated at the University of Warwick.
I am an approachable young adult with a passion for music and music education. With 10 years of experience as a classical guitarist, including a Grade 8 and ATCL Diploma (both with Distinction), I am well suited to prepare students for exams, recitals, or just playing for fun. Lessons are tailored to students' individual needs.
I believe that everyone has their own way when it comes to learning. Some prefer to work with the theory and others just want to learn a particular song. I find that if the student gets bored then it is easy to lose momentum. I like to make lessons fun and friendly.
I focus on both the player and the person. Everyone has talent, it's how that talent is nurtured and encouraged to come to the surface. I taught myself, but wish I had more resources to learn from back then. I want to make sure you can have the opportunity to learn and develop, the support and advice, but most importantly the fun and excitement of playing live music.
My teaching method is very inclusive, interactive and fun. I aim to encourage a love of playing music, as well as inspire personal exploration of the guitar's potential. I can tutor students up to grade 5 in formal exams, or be led by the musical interests of the student.
I give face-to-face guitar lessons to students of all ages and abilities, starting from age 6. My students routinely take the Classical Guitar Grade Exams offered by London College of Music, and ABRSM, and my electric guitar students had had success up to Grade 3 working with the Trinity Rock syllabus.
I am a 20 year old university student from London, at home for the summer, offering beginner and complete newcomer guitar tuition in the borough of Havering. I aim to teach new starting guitarists a basic set of skills to be a foundation for later learning, while keeping each individual's goals and musical interests the focus of the tutoring.
If you'd like a teacher that makes you complete grades and play boring songs from textbooks older than both of us, then turn away now! My lessons are well planned but with plenty of room for changes on-the-fly. I believe that lessons should be able to adjust to how you're feeling on the day and what you were listening to this morning.
Friendly teacher and experienced musician offering electric and acoustic guitar lessons to all levels and ages (min. 8 years old). Whether you want to learn a Slash solo, pass a grade, wow friends at campfires, start your own band or develop your playing even further, I'll get you started with the roots required to mastering the skills for attaining your music related goals.
