I am an experienced acoustic guitar player with 20 years of playing experience. For years I have been performing live in groups / as a solo project and teaching adult and young students. I like to help my students enjoy and love guitar and music in general, as in my experience this helps players to grow and flourish musically.

I mainly teach rock and popular music, but I also teach, acoustic, blues, jazz, sight reading, music theory and many other aspects to being a musician. - Tell me about your qualifications. Degree in popular music performance Grade 8 Guitar Grade 8 Theory - How much do you charge? £12 per half hour, £20 per hour, I will do groups of 2 or more for £7.
Lessons of course need structure, planning and a good delivery and I base the initial framework for my lesson plans on such a rigid and thought out structure. Every person is different and we all learn in different ways and I tend to focus my lessons on getting good progress within each lesson, I do my best to reach set tasks and goals within each lesson.

I predominantly focus on getting the student to enjoy their time with the instrument and to relax into their playing. This leads to fun and enjoyable lessons that are mutually very productive and rewarding! I like to ensure that technique is not overlooked, showing not just where to place the body to play but HOW as well.
