My teaching methodology is centred around you. After an initial meeting you may express in which area you wish to develop your musical skills, be it on your instrument, your knowledge of theory, history or composition. I can assist in any way you require.
My teaching method is one of patience and also being able to plan and pitch bespoke tutoring sessions that fit the individual needs of the student. Learning should always be fun and structured with clear aims, objectives and specific outcomes.
I don’t believe in spoon feeding the student. Instead I take an approach of giving you the tools and guidance to then be able to really understand and work out what you are doing for yourself. Whilst I believe learning songs are important, I also believe it is necessary to learn scales, how chords and structure work and eventually how to improvise and make your own music.
My teaching method is catered to each student and what they wish to gain during the lessons. I do either half hour or hour lessons depending on what would be more beneficial to each student. I try to make each lesson fun and engaging and incorporate styles of music which the student enjoys.
I base each session surrounding the client and their needs/ wants. Each session differes depending on the vocal ability, strengths and weaknesses of the client.
My style of teaching depends on the level of the student but it's a friendly approach to all situations with no pressure involved. I also offer out of hours teachings. Learn ANY song you want! From classics to modern day.

Hi, my name is Tony Hassall and I am a professional musician based in Chester. I regularly teach beginner or advanced students in order to help them get on the path of where they want to be. I have a BA Hons in Popular music performance in which I studied the guitar and am able to teach the majority of styles but specialise in blues, rock, metal, pop and funk.
My teaching method is to get to know you as a player first, I want to know what you know and what you need to work on and also your musical interests and influences. This will help me to structure our lessons. Usually with beginners I start with a few basic chords and riffs from well known songs in their favourite genre.
