I understand that different subjects, and indeed topics within a subject require different mechanisms for learning.
To teach people i generally go over the topic slowing and explain it with diagrams and show alternative methods, i then encourage the student to ask questions and i try my best to answer these to make sure they are crystal clear with the topic.
I like to keep the lessons fun and interactive, especially for younger learners. They often find themselves doing hands on activities rather than computer based activities throughout the lesson. They participate in grouped activities such as writing a book to be printed.
I am an A level mathematics student, who achieved A* in GCSE maths. I am great at working with people and conveying new or familiar ideas in different ways to improve understanding.
Face to face lession, discussion, setting exampke, home work, individual care, presentation, virtual etc
- Classes Welcome to the Newtownabbey Kumon Study Centre. Kumon is a unique daily study programme consisting of five days a week working at home and two days a week in class. Kumon's worksheet-based study takes a long-term approach to providing children with the self-assurance and transferable self-learning skills to realise their potential both in and out of school.
My teaching method is to go through every concept thourouly. to break down the complicated parts and to tailor the experince for each student. I will make sure that each student understands important subjects before moving on. My aim is always to give each student the best chance to succeed.
My teaching method is to give real life examples to best explain task we work on. Most important is to practise variety type of questions to find best approach that suits my student.
My teaching methodology is basically an engineer’s approach; identifying the problem that each individual student has, and finding the solution by strengthening that area through careful explanation or further practice. This way each student has a tailored experience rather than a general overview of the course, as they would in school.
The backbone of an Engineering degree is Mathematics, and I've found that sometimes an Engineering approach can provide an alternative way of thinking. I'm a very visual learner, so therefore am a very visual tutor. I find that breaking down long strings of algebra into small bites and understanding what maths is at play, can strengthen a young person's Maths foundation and help them progress.
My teaching method is The demonstrator, based in showing students what they need to know. The demonstrator is a lot like the lecturer, but their lessons include multimedia presentations, activities, and demonstrations.
I am a trained Maths Teacher and have worked in very varied schools. I have experience working one-to-one with primary, KS3 and KS4 students and teaching whole classes up to A-Level. I also teach Entry Level Maths. I tailor all lessons to meet the needs of students and ensure they are going to progress throughout.
My teaching method is to learn what difficulties and individual is facing and look over any topic they are specially finding problematic or would like more work on.
I hold a degree in Bsc Hons Human Nutrition which was a science and maths based degree. I adapt my teaching method to the student depending on weaknesses and learning style.
I have a BA (Hons) in English Literature and am able to teach both Language and Literature to GCSE standard. This includes Key Stage 2 tuition in English and Maths, encompassing preparation for both CEA and GL Transfer procedure exams and Key Stage 3 English tuition. I am available to work from my own home or from the child's and am currently CRB cleared.
As I tutor math based questions, I believe it’s best to jump straight into questions as practice in these makes perfect I prefer to go through the curriculum topic by topic followed by past paper questions on each topic. That usually highlights the weaker topics to focus on in further questions.
I am an Economics graduate from Trinity College Dublin with A* grades in A level maths, GCSE maths and GCSE additions maths. I have tutored GCSE maths before to students of various abilities, and was also a student mentor at university. I could tutor at the student's home or at mine, in the Belfast area. I'm happy to have preliminary chats about a student's needs and aims.
My teaching method is focused on the student understanding the base principles and relating them to the world environment and industrial application. I can help with GCSE level life sciences and up to beech level maths and computing. Please get in touch for a free assessment and discounted rates.
I like to break lessons down into manageable parts for the student. I am aware that all students learn in different ways and differing speeds, so lessons need to be tailored to the individual or group.
Math's is fun right? :-) Well it can be when you understand it better. My name is Tian and I enjoy Maths and love to share my knowledge with other people. I am starting my A levels after the summer break and would love to spend time giving extra lessons in maths to all ages of kids from primary school up to GCSE levels.
Personal approach - Believe that tutoring should not be the same as school-based learning. I do my best to get to know students and cater my approach to individuals. Tackling issues with learning - Most pupils want/need tutoring because they dislike Maths or they believe they couldn't ever be good at it. I always start with this Maths Anxiety.
Please note that every student is different and this is only a guide to how I teach. My teaching style is highly adaptable for each individuals needs. My lessons tend to be broken down into 3 sections allowing the student to slowly build their knowledge and understanding of each topic.
Very student focused with individual direct monitoring, modeling, step by step practice, and assessment. Specific exam preparation using past exams.
I teach mainly off the subject specification (plus extra information) as this provides exactly what is required for the examination.
My approach is to really help students understand mathematics, using when needed, visual diagrams and showing proofs to fully explain each step of working.
As I have completed my GCSEs quite recently, I know that talking about a topic and completing worked examples together etc can help and as I'm a similar age to GCSE students, I am able to empathise with them.
My name is Aly and I am a Maths and English teacher based in Belfast. I have been teaching in a further and higher education college for the past 6 years and I have also taught GCSE maths classes in a school for the past 2 years. I have a degree PGCE from The University of Ulster. I also have a degree in Economics from Heriot Watt University and Mathematics from Queens University.
I will concentrate on the specifcation of the exam and anything the student is struggling with in particular, will help to find the best method of studying for the individual.
I want to get to know you and discover what help you need and where you need extra work I don't like rigid lessons ans prefer to tailor everything to my audience and give you more control.
According to me clearing topics or goal of subjects to student is very important . First tell students what we are going to learn and then explain concepts , basics of that subject. Explaining with examples is very important to clear doubts. I like questioning students to check his/her understanding of subjects. I believe in dedication and teaching them with kindness.
