My teaching method is simple and with practical sessions. Most of the things are taught on daily needs are requirements in future. Where we must use this tricks are also explained in our sessions. New methods and tricks are used wherever required.
My teaching method is professional but relaxed. I aim to offer lessons which focus on areas of concern highlighted by the student, whilst also providing an overview of essential topics. Tutor sessions will be interactive with questions and conversations about the topics being conducted in a friendly and low pressure environment.
When teaching, my preferred methodology is to remain patient with students to ensure a good understanding of the fundamentals, which I will reinforce with in depth examples. I aim to reduce complex ideas into smaller chunks to aid understanding.
From personal experience, the efficacy of school teaching is widely varied even within a single school. My maths teacher was fantastic and my GCSE results were largely a result of his teaching methods, but in contrast other students who were academically capable were let down by poor teachers or overcrowded classes.
I am currently attaining a 2:1 in chemistry and the university of Hull. Talking at somebody for hours on end is in my opinion an inefficient use of time. I like to have my students interact with exam type problems and use experiments to see the true value behind why we study the sciences. This can lead to an ambition that starts with passing exams.
During the first lesson I gauge how a student responds to various topics and try to identify weaknesses or areas which need more work. I work through the exam boards curriculum using a combination of teaching through examples, and setting questions for the student. I use past paper questions as well as practice questions.
I have taught people such as my sister and classmates, regularly achieving 100% on papers when the ability of the student allows it. I will not push students too hard, instead focusing on key areas which are easier to learn and can gain more marks.
I'm currently studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Leeds. As a student I see the enjoyment that can come from learning. Recently I have been helping my family and friends with Maths and Physics and found that I also enjoy teaching, especially in subjects I love.
