My teaching method is not only memorising basic facts, but to also fully understand their foundation. I won’t tell you that 1+1 is 2, I will tell you why 1+1 is 2. I will provide flash cards, past papers and revision notes too.
All lessons are planned and prepared using a tailored approach based on initial assessment from the first session. Progress being a fundamental focus of all lessons, ensuring all students achieve, many exceeding predicted grades. Using a range of GCSE & A Level exam resources I am able to equip learners with the preparation needed to excel during examination periods.
I am willing to teach anyone up to A-Levels and I will be focussing on algebra, trigonometry or further maths sections mostly. I will prefer if the students are specific about what their doubts are and which chapters they want me to teach them. I will also prefer if it can be done online.
My teaching method is person to person teaching and i prefer to provide my personal notes to the students to cover up the difficult areas and i prefer to conduct mock exams for the students to keep them active all the time
I’m a university student willing to tutor GCSE and A-level students, I prefer to teach in a more practical way, giving student questions and finding out what they’re struggling on and how best to help them, adapting teaching to each individual learner.
I'm very good with kids as I am very patient and friendly, I like to make things interesting rather than reading out of a book. I prefer to create a fun way of learning where appropriate - such as games, powerpoint or other creative ways that can peak kids interest.
I am currently a Undergraduate student at Nottingham Trent University studying Interior Architecture and Design , before I was doing my a level's in Computing , Literature and Art where i left with 11 points .(Equivalent to ACC) I chose to tutor in those specific topics because even though i never ended up doing alevel math , I had a strong passion for it and got an B.
I am ready to either teach specific areas where you're struggling or to do a more general overview of material. I am able to bring my own example problems to work through and solve any given problems from your class.
My teaching approach is very simple, to test at first the child to see what areas of work they need to improve, but not forgetting to hone in on the topics to help refine what they already know.
My teaching method is based on developing the confidence of the student/s. I help the student to picking apart the problem area so that misconceptions can be identified and dealt with. Consolidation is then achieved by working on exam questions, using my experience with OCR to build on exam technique.
Able to give lessons to students up to AS level in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. It will be up to the tutees to decide which topics they would like to cover. I will try and adjust my teaching styles for any student.
Hi there, I'm a confident student tutor in my first year of a Psychology BSc at Nottingham Trent University/ I'd be happy to tutor any GCSE/A Level student, regardless of level. I achieved an A in Maths GCSE and would be happy to tutor in it. I also hold an A* in both English Lit and Lang, so could also tutor both of these.
I give lessons to primary , secondary and Alevel students. The method I use is to ask the child for the lesson spec given by their teacher, I will then teach the student everything on the spec to prepare them for their lesson. Any homework that they may need help on , I will help.
before every class I have done preparation for the day's lesson. My teaching method is to always try to stimulate the ability to logical thinking combined with practical exercises .
I personally find interactive lessons the most engaging and fun and so I try to base my lessons around that principle - using diagrams, videos etc. I also find that students respond well to the 'model answer approach' where we work through what would be the perfect answer to questions which commonly come up in exams.
My teaching method is explaining the subjects using fewer words as possible and includes games or interactive activities with students. I have confidence in teaching primary school students and I believe I can make maths and chemistry fun for you.
I am an 18-year-old student reading Architecture at the University of Nottingham. I previously studied at St Paul`s School in Barnes, London. In 2012 I took the scholarship entrance examinations and was awarded a John Colet scholarship, which was only awarded to the to 10 students in the year.
I am able to give lessons to those studying for GCSEs or below. My teaching method is you tell me a topic that you struggle with or are finding more difficult, and I will happily help you understand this in a more simplistic way.
My aim is to help with understanding concepts and solution solving. I myself am a visual learner but understand that everyone is different and will try my best to cater towards the individual's needs and what suits them best.
During my PGCE course I have learnt much about learning theories and how student learn best. This knowledge and research alongside practical experience has increase the variety of strategies I implement. I believe, with the new curriculum, problem solving and discovery learning is essential.
I can teach from KS2 to GCSE students, including the 11+ exam if necessary. My method of teaching tends to be related to what the student is struggling with, if they are struggling with a question, I take it back to the basic version of the concept to ensure that they really understand the basics and the rules before trying them on more difficult questions.
I offer classes to students who are struggling from year 6-11 and can also offering a helping hand to A level students if need be. Due to me recently carrying out my A levels, I believe i am best equipped to guide young teenagers through the examination process and those stressful times.
I try to make my sessions as exciting as possible, although this can be hard in a subject like maths, its important for me that the student does not feel stressed and looks forward to each session they have with me.
I teach the basis of the topic, give examples, confirm from their response whether they need more explanation/examples, then assessed the student(s).
I teach by identifying the topics that the students struggle with. Work out why they struggle with the topics, work from the basic struggles and build it up until they feel confident enough. I give clear examples without skipping steps and provide explanations of what I am doing where possible. Then go back to the question they were struggling with, see if they can do it.
My teaching method will involve Powerpoints to visually aid the students with their learning. Once the Powerpoints have been covered, we will then go through practice questions. After enough questions are completed, regular small tests will be taken as well.
I am a mother and have taught GCSE level Maths to my own children that have both gone on to achieve grades 7 in the Maths 9-1 GCSE exams. I introduce the topic and work through examples and ask my students to practise more questions. I then go over tricky questions or any problems they have experienced.

Hello, I study at Nottingham Trent University. I want to start giving Maths lessons to students who are doing their GCSE's or are in secondary education anywhere from year 7 to 11. In the first lesson, the pupil and I will discuss their weaker areas of the Maths subject. Then immediately start with one of their weaker areas.
My teaching method is based on using plenty of examples and practice question, in order to ensure that the methods are remembered. I also use plenty of questions from exam past papers.
