My primary focus in teaching will always be the student, and this means understanding the student's needs and goals. My goal is to enable the student to create exciting music, although I am more than happy to teach any technical aspects, such as mixing and mastering, as they are also very important.
Music technology is a very nuanced area, students often have a wide range of goals and skill levels in different areas. I try to find a balance between the most useful techniques and the most engaging practices for that particular student, to keep you engaged and enthusiastic.
I want to pass my knowledge, tips and tricks on to passionate Djs/ Musicians so they can work their way around the basics that are essential to getting anywhere in the music industry in the 21st century without having the £10k music studio!
In my lessons you will understand how music translates emotions and ideas. Using the instrument or/and music production tools, we will be strongly focusing on the relationship between you, your instrument and the theory behind it.
My teaching is very hands on in my own studio or at your home if you are local to the RG12 postcode. I specialise in teaching on Pioneer digital DJ equipment and Pioneers Rekordbox system. This is about learning reals skills to change your DJ'ing from simply mixing to real live performances. I can also teach vinyl mixing.
I want to help you find your sound, mix your tracks, and find creative ways of shaping timbres, arranging tracks and producing quality electronic music to a releasable standard. I want to inspire you to create innovative, and unique music and teach you to critique and to eventually have the knowledge to teach yourself.
I want to help you get practical experience producing and composing music straight away. I believe in teaching with a very engaging hands on approach, allowing students to lead the way based on where they are in their development. From my experience as a student and a teacher, being hands on from the start is the best way to bring your passion for music to life.

Hi, l'm Kirk a committed, enthusiastic, hardworking person who is passionate about technology and learning. I give lessons with certificates. My techniques and my methods of instruction are structured from how I teach at leading Electronic Music Academies. Ive been told I am a great patient tutor.
I can tailor my lessons according to your needs, we can focus on production techniques then mixing or if mixing is what you are looking for we can focus more on that. I have used Ableton Live since version 6 so any curiosity you have about the DAW we can go through it. I also have a 5th grade in Music Theory if you are looking to know more about how it applies to production.
I start with the basics of Recording, Mixing, Music Production and Sound Engineer with what I have learned from my own experience and from the different places that I have worked at. I am currently finishing a Phd in Music Technology.
I am a professional composer, orchestrator and pianist with great experience in both making and teaching music.
I base my classes on a fun but rigorous approach to music technology. The reality of production is you can waste a lot of time mucking about in DAWs (digital audio workstations), regardless of your musical ability. A sterile approch needs to be taken to each aspect of mixing and mastering. Only after should the musical ability be applied to a strong knowledge and understanding of these aspects.
Combining vital theoretical knowledge with real world applications. Students with production experience often bring along projects they're working on, where I can show them techniques to help improve and better themselves as an artist. I've also designed tailored courses for beginner producers that want to take a step into the world of music production.
The courses are customized to all levels of study, from the complete beginner, through to professionals already working within the industry. Tuition is fully tailored to the individual student’s needs with flexible schedules and a personalised course structure. Classes can be taught in the student´s home or in our sound studio in central Barcelona.
My teaching is centered around the student's aims, and tailored to suit. There is so much more to music production than the technical side, and I want to encourage your creativity at the same time. I believe you learn best by doing, and I want to help you get the results you want by showing you how to create the sounds you hear in your head.
My courses are offering the basics of mixing, arranging, sound synthesising and sound design, among other necessary music production, arrangement and composition skills, using the DAW Ableton Live as the main tool. The structure of the courses can be modified to the individual student's needs, according to their level and orientation.
My teaching method is inclusive, meaning everyone will feel as though they are a part of the bigger picture - that is, aiming to branch out into the music industry. I am aiming to provide the basics of music production for beginners, who are interested in starting and developing their music careers.
My teaching method is quite informal, given the nature of the subject. I will teach the basics of the software, then start on compositions and develop later into developing compositions, song structure, sampling , sequencing, mixing etc. Supportive, fun style.
Who i am aiming to teach: I am willing to give lessons to anyone as I myself have no experience in reading music or writing it. so I believe anyone can learn to produce music. Methodology: I plan on breaking down each class in accordance with what the student would like to learn.
I am a professional musician with over 15 years of experience teaching guitar, piano, music theory and musical production. My lessons are friendly and customized, making the process of learning a pleasure.
I can assist with all levels of learning music production, whether you already have some knowledge and would like to broaden your skills or a complete beginner. I am confident I will be able to boost your knowledge, skillset and techniques in all aspects of the music production process.
