Music Theory can be confusing and at times daunting. My teaching method is very straight forward. We will break down the papers into topics and create methods around which the questions can be solved. Music theory is all about problem solving and forming connections from topics to find solutions. My name is Toby and I am a dedicated and passionate musician.
I tailor my teaching to the students individual requirements and needs. I can work with the student to understand how it is they learn and what methods are best to help with their memory. However I understand that learning a new skill requires PRACTICE so I like to offer students 5 minutes before their lesson to warm up on their own and revisit the pieces we learned from the week before.
Lessons with me could be considered akin to two friends hanging out. I believe it is important to develop a friendly relationship with the student so that the teaching and learning is an easy, fun process. I give lessons at all levels and I am happy to teach you any style you wish. The lessons are about what you, the student wants and I am committed to teaching in the way the is right for you.

I am very optimistic with my approach to learning therefore depending on the pupils age, the lessons would consist of various activities and games to keep the pupils entertained and motivated to learn.
