I dedicate time to each student looking at their learning method, and even when working in a classroom environment, I teach in multiple ways to ensure all students understand the concepts. I ensure structured lesson plans, appropriate level of difficulty and always allow for discussion.
I always start my lessons with a little quiz to see on which stage are you, trying to improve all difficulties and explain it on the best and easiest possible way. Trying to make every lesson interesting and different, including a lot of examples to clarify. Taking care of everyone's needs individually, even in the group lectures.
I teach by firstly asking what the student would like to learn (e.g. performance based work) and then find out what they know/can do already so that I have an idea on the level they're starting lessons with me at. Then I'll teach them different skills, techniques and knowledge that they will require in an engaging way by incorperating them into songs that the student would like to learn.
- Classes We provide individually tailored lessons to all our pupils, whether they wish to learn their favourite songs or prepare for graded examinations. We also provide music theory and aural tuition for those who may be preparing for upcoming exams. We work with all the major exam boards including ABRSM, RSL Rockschool, Trinity Guildhall and LCM.
