I am a CELTA qualified native English teacher. I adopt a personalised and structured approach to enable your progression and achievement, covering all levels (from Beginner to Advanced). Meeting new people from all over the world and helping them to learn gives me great satisfaction.
I've found that the most effective method of teaching is to immediately follow up any learning with practice, e.g. exercises or an activity, as this tends to cement the lesson in a students brain. This is how I planned many of my lessons in France.
I like to keep teaching fun!! Although I do have set courses, I prefer my students to lead the way. I tailor my courses to the requirements of my students. Students can study for a particular profession. Or they can just have a general conversation about their interests.
My teaching method is student-centered and I am friendly, patient and approachable. Communication is first valued over fluency. I always use content that my students are interested in and our life experience during lessons. I enjoy grammar, vocabulary, conversation practice, business English, exam preparation and teaching students of all ages and all levels.
I have taught primary school children, undergraduates, adult learners and PGCE students. I have a first class degree in English and a M.A in English. I am familiar with the full GCSE English curriculum in both language and literature and also in AS and A level.
I am an interactive and lively teacher, with a keen sense of where my students are at. Having studied Social Sciences as part of my BA I can read and interpret my students, their struggles and capabilities quickly and effectively. I work to adapt to my students capabilities whilst ensuring to spend time concept checking as well as recall checking.
The four basic methods, visual, written, oral and practical, I have a patience for people so would understand if anyone's at a slow pace

Life is too short not to learn languages. I am here to help you learn from all different aspects of languages and I am artistically contributive to everyone. There is always an alternative way to everything! This included learning through human experience. My humanistic approach to teaching languages and arts have always been a plus for students to get a good mark on their lessons.
I have many different methods based on your individual language needs. I offer help with exam preparation due to my own experience studying languages in an academic environment. I also offer comprehensive grammar lessons to help with any issues you may have. Finally, I believe that conversation practice is key in achieving fluency, so I also offer informal conversation based lessons.

I have experience teaching every level of English - this includes Business English and exam preparation.
I am very patient and understanding person. Happy to teach anyone from going to very basic or no English at all to a level good enough to be able to understand and maintain any English conversation.
I try to find an area which students enjoy and bring that into my teaching, so as it is more fun and not such a chore, without the students noticing. I prefer to focus on an area which the student may find difficult and to build their confidence in that area with a variety of methods.
